On 30 September 2023, Dipl.-Ing. Bruno Mayer will retire from the management of Stahlwerke Bochum GmbH after more than 35 years. In 1988, he took over the management of the steel foundry, which was then still operating under the umbrella of Thyssen AG as SWB Stahlformgussgesellschaft mbH, and developed it into the globally leading manufacturer of wear-resistant tools and components for shredder technology \u2013 since 2006, as a 100% subsidiary of SWB Holding GmbH, an owner-managed family business. Bruno Mayer is and remains the majority shareholder and Chairman of the Management Board of SWB Holding GmbH and will be granted power of attorney for Stahlwerke Bochum GmbH from 01 October 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The new CEO of Stahlwerke Bochum GmbH from 01 October 2023 is Dipl.-Ing. Stephan O. Mayer. The previous authorised signatory and head of the ‘Operational Management’ division has been with the company since 2008 and is also a shareholder and member of the management of SWB Holding GmbH.
